Push rates

To ensure stable performance across multiple campaigns, push notifications are sent in controlled batches. The current default delivery rate is 10,000 notifications per 5 minutes.

This delivery mechanism protects the mobile app and backend services from traffic spikes that can occur when a very large number of users receive and open notifications simultaneously.

If too many notifications are delivered in a short period of time, users may open the app at once, potentially overloading the related services. By applying a rate limit, the system balances delivery speed and stability.

💡 Tip: For large audiences, we recommend scheduling campaigns in advance and keeping the delivery window open for several hours to ensure all targeted users receive the message.

Lobyco will try to distribute the message sends throughout the batch period, but can’t guarantee this, as there may be variation in the sending rates due to external systems.

Lobyco push notifications use the Android and iOS services to deliver the message to the mobile devices, so there can always be some latency brought by these systems.

Parameter	Description
Default delivery rate	The platform sends up to 10,000 notifications every 5 minutes.
Automatic queuing	If your audience size exceeds the rate limit, the system automatically queues remaining notifications and continues sending until all users have been reached.
Activity period planning	Ensure that your push activity validity period is long enough to allow delivery to all users in the selected audience segment.
Example	A campaign targeting 100,000 users will take approximately 50 minutes to complete at the default rate.
Exceptional load	For very large or time-critical campaigns (e.g., national promotions or crisis communications), contact Lobyco Support to review the possibility of temporarily increasing the throughput rate.
